Guest welcome and seating
- Greet guests and determine the size of their party.
- Seat guests at clean, available tables, provide menus, and assist as needed.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance.
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating groups with special needs.
- Ensure each guest has an appropriate place setting, including napkin and clean silverware.
- Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Work area and service standards
- Maintain clean work areas throughout the day using clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; communicate professionally and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Build positive working relationships, support team goals, listen and respond to colleagues, and perform other reasonable assigned duties.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
- The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
