Consulting Manager - Life Sciences Business Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead business discovery and current-state assessments, translating business and technology needs into priorities and recommendations.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops to elicit, validate, and prioritize enterprise requirements.
• Develop business requirements documents, process maps, user journeys, and capability assessments.
• Evaluate vendor and commercial off-the-shelf solutions, including build-versus-buy considerations.
• Develop business cases with cost-benefit and investment recommendations.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, and strategic recommendations.

Required qualifications

• Strong experience in business analysis, digital transformation, enterprise platform assessments, or technology transformation initiatives.
• Independently engage senior business and IT stakeholders and facilitate executive-level workshops and discovery sessions.
• Elicit, document, analyze, and prioritize complex enterprise requirements.
• Experience with vendor or commercial solution assessments, build-versus-buy analysis, and technology investment business cases.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills; able to work independently and provide strategic consulting-style support.

Additional qualifications

• Experience supporting strategic enterprise platform modernization or transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing cost-benefit analyses and investment recommendations.
• Experience conducting capability assessments and developing user journeys and process maps.
• Experience in R&D, scientific, laboratory, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate complex findings into practical recommendations.

Compensation

• Base salary ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 per year.
• Eligible for a discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid role requiring three days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto or Mississauga, Ontario.
