Construction Finishing Foreman

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finishing teams, including masons, painters, carpenters, and other trades; ensure work follows drawings and quality standards.
• Inspect workmanship and enforce quality-control procedures throughout finishing stages.
• Plan daily tasks, allocate resources, coordinate with Site Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and request materials in advance.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed; report and rectify defects or specification deviations.
• Maintain progress reports and records of attendance, resource use, and material consumption; report delays and updates to site management.
• Resolve site issues, guide workers, and support testing, inspections, and handover.

Qualifications and experience

• At least 4–6 years of construction experience.
• Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades, including plastering, painting, tiling, joinery, and flooring.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Skills and competencies
