Role Overview

Employment and Experience

• The role is full-time.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant professional experience is indicated, subject to confirmation of the minimum requirement.

Testing and Commissioning

• Support the T&C Manager during client meetings and coordination with interfacing contractors.
• Monitor testing and commissioning progress, identify delays, and recommend recovery actions.
• Prepare and monitor short-term commissioning schedules and look-ahead plans with system leads.
• Participate in internal testing and commissioning coordination meetings.

Handover and Site Readiness

• Supervise construction-to-commissioning handovers and review handover documentation.
• Verify system readiness and arrange inspections with Test Leads for installed systems.
• Coordinate access to railway tracks, facilities, locomotives, and rolling stock.
• Coordinate permit-to-work requirements for migration and integration testing.

Quality and Configuration

• Coordinate Inspection and Test Requests for witnessed testing of installed systems.
• Monitor and coordinate the closure of commissioning punch lists.
• Maintain control of system configuration management during commissioning.
• Implement the Defect Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System process on site.

Health, Safety and Operations

• Ensure site personnel receive required HSE inductions and training.
• Verify compliance with railway operating and site access rules.
• Ensure commissioning personnel use required personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate planned maintenance according to approved plans and manuals.
• Promote safe working practices throughout testing and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, or information technology.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant professional experience is required, subject to confirmation.
• Experience coordinating testing and commissioning on complex infrastructure projects is required.
• Experience with railway systems testing and commissioning or operations and maintenance is advantageous.

Required Skills

• Experience with construction handovers, inspections, testing activities, and site coordination.
• Experience with quality control procedures, inspection requests, and punch-list management.
• Understanding of HSE requirements, safe working procedures, and permit-to-work processes.
• Strong communication, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency is required; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
