Commissioning Engineer role supporting high-quality MEP systems and mission-critical data centre environments in Abu Dhabi.
The role is full-time and reports to the Commissioning Manager.
The position requires attention to detail, coordination, and a proactive approach to commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare commissioning strategies, plans, and testing scripts aligned with project specifications and codes.
- Conduct inspections, pre-functional checks, and functional performance tests for mechanical, electrical, BMS, and specialist systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with design and OEM teams.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and start-up to meet project schedules.
- Submit commissioning documents, test reports, and punch lists for client and consultant review.
- Lead Commissioning Foremen and collaborate with design engineers, QA/QC teams, and OEM representatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians and promote technical best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in MEP commissioning and testing processes.
- Proven expertise in functional performance testing and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning methods, and regional codes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and develop test procedures.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
- Primavera or MS Project experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
