The Commis III works in the Pastry Kitchen at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar.
The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Prepare ingredients through portioning, chopping, and storage.
- Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked foods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, cleaning, safety, and security procedures.
- Check appliance and food temperatures and report issues to management.
- Set up and break down the workstation and monitor food quality and portions.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain professional communication, appearance, confidentiality, and positive working relationships.
- Support the team and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Less than one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is listed.
Work Environment
- The role is based at the Ritz-Carlton location on Ras Abu Abboud Street in Doha.
- The work requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving across sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- The role requires bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching overhead and below the knees.
- The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
