Prepare ingredients and food for banquet kitchen operations according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Monitor food quality, cooking completion, portions, and temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, weigh, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
- Wash and peel fruits and vegetables and prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Set up and break down workstations and serve food in proper portions.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs and incidents, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance, communicate clearly, support team goals, and protect company assets.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required or preferred.
- No license or certification is listed.
Workplace and Physical Demands
- The position is located at a hotel kitchen in Doha, Qatar and is not remote.
- The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period or an entire work shift.
- The role requires reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
