Prepare ingredients and cold foods while meeting recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
The position is full time, non-management, and based at the hotel property.
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare ingredients through portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, mixing, and storage.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality and presentation standards.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for sufficient cooking and monitor food quality during preparation.
Workstation and Sanitation
- Set up and break down the workstation and serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check and ensure correct temperatures for appliances and food.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
Professional Conduct
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Perform other reasonable job duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is listed as preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license is required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift.
- Reach overhead and below the knees and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
