Commis I responsible for daily food preparation and assigned kitchen duties at Park Rotana and Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi.
The role supports consistent quality, hygiene, cost control, and guest experiences in the kitchen.
Kitchen responsibilities
- Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare food according to menu specifications.
- Maintain hygienic work areas according to hotel rules.
- Control food stock and food cost in the assigned section.
- Prepare daily mise en place and food production in main and satellite kitchen sections.
- Follow instructions from immediate supervisors.
- Maintain high standards and consistent quality in daily preparation.
- Keep current with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
- Coordinate with other sections on requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
Education and experience
- Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
- Previous experience in quality establishments.
- Good culinary skills.
- English communication ability is essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation is essential.
