The role prepares ingredients and food, maintains quality and presentation standards, and keeps the kitchen and equipment clean and safe.
Food preparation and service
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down the work station and serve food in proper portions and receptacles.
Sanitation, safety, and teamwork
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, communicate professionally, and support team goals and colleagues.
Preferred qualifications
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
Work conditions
- The role is not remote and requires extended standing, sitting, or walking during a shift.
- Physical duties include reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
