Commis 3 position in Food and Beverage & Culinary at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha.
Full-time, non-management role at the Doha resort.
Kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Cook food and prepare cold foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and checklists.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation, serve proper portions, and store food appropriately.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check food and appliance temperatures.
Role expectations
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Support team goals and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
- Work extended shifts standing, sitting, or walking; perform bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, and stooping; move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is specified.
