Kitchen responsibilities
- Portion, chop, store, wash, and peel ingredients; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods; operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation, serve proper portions, and clean and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment.
- Check appliance and food temperatures.
Workplace conduct and physical duties
- Follow safety and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Build positive working relationships, support team goals, respond to coworkers, and meet quality standards.
- Work may involve extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and handling items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is specified.
