Kitchen duties
- Prepare special meals and substitutions; cook to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures; thaw frozen food in refrigeration.
- Portion and garnish food, prepare cold foods, and maintain food logs.
- Monitor food quality and quantity; tell the Chef about excess food and service staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
- Communicate support needs during busy periods.
Teamwork, service, and safety
- Support hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees as directed.
- Follow safety, security, and quality standards; report maintenance needs, incidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, anticipate guest needs, and work collaboratively.
- Meet physical demands including extended standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
