Full-time, non-management Cook III position at Le Méridien in Dubai.
The role is not remote and is based at the hotel location on Airport Road.
Kitchen responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food, including cold foods, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food-preparation checklists.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and clean work areas, portion and plate food, and clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
- Check equipment and food temperatures.
Safety and team responsibilities
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications; maintain a clean, professional uniform and grooming, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Build positive work relationships, support team goals, listen to coworkers’ concerns, and uphold quality standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift; reach, bend, twist, pull, and crouch as needed.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by a supervisor.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is listed as required.
