The role prepares food to recipes and quality and presentation standards while supporting kitchen operations and guest service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals and substitutions; regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; thaw frozen food safely in a refrigerator.
- Prepare hot and cold foods, portion and garnish dishes, and follow recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Tell the Chef about excess food for daily specials and inform service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and support the team in meeting shared goals.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and respond to guest needs.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and handling objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
