Compensation
- Compensation range is $23.00–$24.69 per hour.
Shift
- Hiring shift is afternoon/night.
Production and quality
- Operate scheduled production equipment and meet production targets.
- Produce parts to required quality, quantity, specifications, tolerances, and timelines.
- Inspect products with specified measuring equipment and document results.
- Complete required production and quality documentation and pack products according to instructions.
- Verify first-off approval and make offset adjustments to keep parts within quality requirements.
Equipment, safety, and teamwork
- Follow machine-specific instructions and perform TPM activities, including equipment inspections and topping up oil.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow the 5S standard; monitor tool life where applicable.
- Stop production and escalate safety, equipment, or quality issues, with authority to stop the line to correct safety or quality problems.
- Train new operators and participate in continuous improvement and production-team communication.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education and at least 3 years of CNC operating experience.
- Knowledge of CNC controls; advanced knowledge of CNC lathes, machining processes, CNC programming, tooling, and efficient setups.
- Strong verbal and written English; ability to use basic and advanced measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of statistical improvement techniques, documentation, and organizational practices.
- Working knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 14001 systems, and WHMIS; laser safety training.
Work setting
- The production equipment operation and shop-floor duties require an on-site work setting.
