Education and experience
- A two-year degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, plus two years of human resources or related professional experience; or a four-year bachelor's degree in one of these fields with no experience required.
- Certified trainer required.
Training administration and evaluation
- Promote training programs and support training efforts with the training cadre.
- Model guest hospitality, help employees identify service-excellence behaviors, and provide feedback on observed service.
- Monitor class attendance and participant progress; work with operational leaders to assess employee skills.
- Review guest feedback and measure learning transfer and training effectiveness.
- Use adult learning principles and adjust training methods or retrain employees when needed.
Program planning and budgets
- Link training activities to organizational goals and business indicators; identify performance gaps and develop appropriate training with managers.
- Develop service-performance training and reinforce brand values and guest satisfaction.
- Participate in training budget development and manage budget and controllable expenses against financial goals.
- Use a P-card where appropriate to monitor departmental expenditures.
