Role overview

Cloud and DevOps responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage Cloud & DevOps engineers to support best practices and efficient delivery.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available Azure cloud architectures.
• Manage Azure Firewall, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiWeb, load balancers, Traffic Manager, Azure Front Door, CDN, and Cloudflare services.
• Configure site-to-site and point-to-site VPNs and hybrid networking environments.
• Drive infrastructure as code with Terraform and ARM templates; lead CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize AKS; explore and implement Azure AI and cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with teams using .NET, Laravel, and Drupal; maintain HLDs, LLDs, and architecture diagrams.
• Manage cloud security, cost, performance, governance, monitoring, and observability; use Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Monitor, identify, and respond to cloud security threats and vulnerabilities.

Must-have qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in cloud, DevOps, infrastructure, and team leadership.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise and working knowledge of AWS and GCP.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring Cloud & DevOps engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise cloud architecture, networking, security, and automation.
• Required certifications: Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104, DevOps Engineer Expert AZ-400, Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-305, and Azure AI Engineer Associate AI-102.

Technical and professional skills

• Azure networking includes VNet, NSG, UDR, private endpoints, and hybrid networking; strong understanding of VPNs and on-premises networking.
• Firewalls include Azure Firewall, Palo Alto, and Fortinet/FortiWeb; traffic tools include Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, Azure Front Door, CDN, and Cloudflare.
• Containerization: AKS. Infrastructure as code: Terraform and ARM templates. DevOps automation: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Monitoring and security: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Leadership, team management, mentoring, communication, stakeholder management, architectural decision-making, ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving are emphasized.
• CCNA or CCNP certifications are an added advantage.
