Cleaning Supervisor

Role purpose

Staff supervision and cleaning operations

• Allocate and coordinate cleaners' daily duties; prepare duty rosters, work schedules, and assignments.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, performance, and compliance; provide guidance, training, and instructions.
• Ensure adequate cleaning coverage during school hours, events, examinations, and other activities.
• Ensure learning spaces and school facilities are cleaned regularly and ready before students and staff arrive.
• Arrange additional cleaning for events and conduct regular inspections of cleaning standards.
• Ensure waste is collected, segregated where required, and disposed of according to school procedures.

Health, safety, and hygiene

• Ensure staff follow school health, safety, hygiene, and infection-prevention procedures.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are labelled, safely stored, and used according to manufacturer instructions; use PPE when required.
• Prevent unauthorized access to chemicals and equipment, display wet-floor signs, and report hazards promptly.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained; follow procedures for bodily fluids and potentially hazardous waste.
• Support health, safety, hygiene, and facility inspections.

Materials, monitoring, and reporting

• Monitor stocks of cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, tissue paper, soap, bags, and other consumables.
• Record materials issued, monitor usage, request replenishment, minimize waste, and maintain a secure cleaning store.
• Report damaged, defective, or missing equipment and ensure tools and machines are cleaned and stored properly.
• Use checklists and records to inspect work, maintain schedules and attendance records, arrange corrective action, and follow up on facility issues.
• Submit regular reports on cleaning standards, staff performance, material consumption, and operational concerns; cooperate with audits.

School conduct and safeguarding

• Ensure cleaning work causes minimal disruption and staff communicate respectfully with students, staff, parents, visitors, and colleagues.
• Ensure cleaners avoid restricted areas and unauthorized handling of students' belongings; maintain confidentiality.
• Hand found lost property or valuables to the designated school authority and immediately report safeguarding concerns through approved channels.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by school management in line with the position.

Pay

• Pay is QAR 3,000–5,000 per month.

• Work location is in person.
