Job Purpose
Maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for students, staff, parents, visitors, and school property.
Monitor school access, respond to security concerns, and ensure school security procedures are followed.
Access and Student Safety
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify visitors, follow registration procedures, issue and collect passes where applicable, and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Monitor contractors, delivery personnel, and service providers; release students only to authorized parents, guardians, or designated persons.
- Maintain a visible security presence, monitor arrival and departure areas, and support drop-off, pick-up, school events, assemblies, and examinations.
- Report suspicious or unsafe activity and prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Surveillance and Emergency Response
- Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable; patrol buildings, playgrounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
- Check gates, doors, windows, and other access points; report damaged fences, locks, lighting, or security equipment.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, accidents, and fire alarms; notify designated school authorities of serious incidents.
- Assist with evacuations, keep emergency routes clear, support emergency services when required, and follow school emergency procedures.
Traffic and Reporting
- Support safe vehicle movement and traffic control during student arrival and dismissal; ensure vehicles use designated parking areas.
- Maintain daily security logs and visitor records, record incidents and accidents, report lost or found property, and prepare incident reports when requested.
General and Safeguarding Duties
- Maintain confidentiality regarding school operations, students, staff, and security matters; follow school policies and management instructions.
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance and cooperate with school management, staff, emergency services, and authorized personnel.
- Follow child safeguarding procedures and report suspected concerns or inappropriate behavior involving a student immediately.
- Never leave an unauthorized person alone with students; do not allow students to leave without proper authorization; maintain professional boundaries.
- Perform other security-related duties reasonably assigned by school management.
Pay
- QAR 1,800–2,500 per month.
