Civil Landscape Engineer

Role overview

Civil and landscape design

• Develop and coordinate civil and landscape drawings, specifications, calculations, details, and technical reports.
• Coordinate roads, walkways, paving, hardscape, softscape, grading, levels, drainage, and site development.
• Design landscape layouts, planting plans, retaining elements, amenities, and features for lagoons, pools, podiums, gardens, and public spaces.
• Coordinate irrigation, water requirements, planting zones, drainage, pumps, and landscape infrastructure with MEP and specialist consultants.
• Review soil conditions, planting, materials, finishes, and environmental requirements.

Coordination and project delivery

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, utilities, irrigation, lagoon, and specialist teams; review BIM models and resolve clashes and interface issues.
• Review contractor drawings, submittals, technical proposals, samples, method statements, and calculations; support authority submissions and approvals.
• Respond to technical queries and site issues, inspect works against approved designs, and monitor civil and landscape implementation.
• Assess changes and value-engineering proposals; support constructability, quality control, inspection records, testing, handover, and project schedules.
• Help ensure works meet specifications, standards, authority, environmental, health and safety, and quality requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years of civil and landscape design or coordination experience.
• Experience in external works, grading, drainage, hardscape, softscape, paving, roads, walkways, and site development.
• Knowledge of applicable civil, landscape, drainage, irrigation, and authority requirements.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit/BIM, MS Office, and relevant landscape/civil design software.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination, BIM coordination, shop drawing review, and design development.
• Technical, analytical, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Preferred background

• Experience in high-rise, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, waterfront, or large-scale developments is preferred.
• UAE/GCC project experience and knowledge of local authority requirements are advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay starts at AED 6,000 per month.
