The Civil Engineer – Maintenance inspects buildings and civil structures, identifies maintenance needs, coordinates repairs, and ensures civil maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and civil infrastructure, including walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and other structures.
- Identify structural defects, cracks, water leakage, dampness, and other maintenance issues.
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance; coordinate technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, work reports, cost estimates, and material requirements.
- Monitor civil work quality and compliance with specifications and safety standards; inspect completed repairs.
- Manage requests and coordinate with facility management and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain inspection, repair, maintenance cost, and contractor performance records.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and local authority requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in civil maintenance, building maintenance, or facility management.
- Experience in building repairs, waterproofing, plumbing-related civil works, concrete repairs, painting, and finishing works.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in contractor coordination, site supervision, and quality control.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office is an advantage; UAE experience is preferred.
