Role overview
The role requires strong expertise in Power BI and SAP BI tools, along with database and reporting knowledge.
Reporting and data work
- Design, develop, and maintain analytical reports, MIS dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI to meet business requirements.
- Use Power BI Fabric capabilities effectively alongside on-premises tool knowledge.
- Perform data modeling, including schema design, attributes, facts, and hierarchies.
- Develop application objects, including metrics, filters, groups, and consolidations.
- Manage report scheduling, distribution, and performance tuning.
Administration and security
- Administer Power BI, including user and group management, role-based access control, and object-level permissions.
- Maintain an organized security model with appropriate segregation of roles and responsibilities.
- Produce audit reports.
Required qualifications
- Strong expertise in Power BI and SAP BI tools, database and reporting knowledge, and Power BI Fabric.
- Admin knowledge for Power BI administration activities and strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects and awareness of administration and migration approaches.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Additional skills
- PL/SQL knowledge is an advantage.
- Exposure to or experience with AI-driven features is an advantage.
