The ideal candidate has a background in structural and architectural engineering, particularly design, analysis, and construction of steel structures and buildings.
Site delivery and coordination
- Manage day-to-day site activity, supervising site labour and subcontractors.
- Plan work and organize plant and site facilities to meet deadlines.
- Oversee quality control and health and safety; prepare reports as required.
- Resolve technical difficulties and problems; set out, level, and survey the site.
- Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy, and ensure materials and work meet specifications.
- Oversee selection and requisition of materials and plant.
- Resolve technical issues with employer representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.
- Apply project and subcontractor procedures, method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans.
- Supervise and counsel junior or trainee engineers; liaise with local authorities on regulatory compliance where appropriate.
Experience and licences
- Four years of UAE civil-engineering experience is listed as required in one entry and preferred in a repeated entry.
- A UAE driving licence is listed as required in one entry and a driving licence as preferred in a repeated entry.
- DM-approved G+4 is preferred.
Education
- A bachelor's degree is listed as required in one entry and preferred in a repeated entry.
Pay
- The description lists AED 3,500–7,000 per month and AED 2,500–3,500 per month in separate pay entries.
