A high-growth digital financial services business is seeking a commercially minded and execution-focused Chief Operating Officer to lead day-to-day operations, process excellence, and scalable transformation across the organisation.
The successful candidate will oversee core operations, service delivery, operational controls, and business performance, while helping modernise the operating model through data, automation, and practical AI-enabled improvements.
This role is suited to a leader who combines strong operating discipline with an innovative mindset and the ability to turn strategy into measurable execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business operations, ensuring efficient, controlled, and scalable delivery across teams.
- Improve operational performance, service quality, governance, and cross-functional execution.
- Drive operating model enhancement through automation, digitisation, and AI-enabled process improvement.
- Partner closely with executive leadership on business planning, transformation priorities, and growth readiness.
- Build high-performing teams and embed a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Candidate profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in operations within financial services, fintech, digital banking, investments, brokerage, or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong track record of running complex day-to-day operations, not only strategy or advisory work.
- Prior consulting experience is attractive, particularly where it was followed by meaningful in-house operational leadership.
- Demonstrated success in process redesign, operational scale-up, and technology-enabled transformation.
- Clear interest in innovation, with practical exposure to AI, automation, workflow redesign, and data-led decision making.
- Strong judgment, pace, and credibility with senior stakeholders.
