Chief Accountant

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance for construction or PPP projects.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and UAE regulations.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
• Support ERP system implementation and process improvements where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• **8–10 years of accounting experience** (not more than 10 years preferred).
• Experience in **PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects** is highly preferred. Candidates with a **construction industry background** and the ability to learn PPP operations are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in **English** with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional certifications such as **CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA** are an advantage.

Preferred Background

• PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects.
• Construction, infrastructure, or engineering companies.
• Experience managing project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
