The College of Engineering and Technology invites applications for a full-time Computer Science faculty position at Assistant or Associate Professor rank for Academic Year 2026–2027.
The role contributes to undergraduate teaching, student project supervision, research, and development and delivery of Computer Science and related academic programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses emphasizing information systems, databases, data analytics, IT strategy and governance, enterprise technologies, and business intelligence.
- Develop and deliver specialized courses aligned with academic goals and evolving industry needs.
- Supervise capstone and graduation projects, advise students, and guide professional internships.
- Conduct and publish research, pursue external funding, and contribute to initiatives in emerging computing and IT areas.
- Support curriculum improvement, program assessment, accreditation, and other academic and administrative duties.
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, IT Management, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of university-level teaching experience after the Ph.D., with commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
- Strong peer-reviewed research and publication record, and ability to supervise undergraduate research and capstone projects.
- Expertise in computing, especially information systems, databases, data analytics, or enterprise computing.
- Ability to contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Relevant software, enterprise systems, IT management, business analytics, or digital transformation industry experience is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in computing, IT management, project management, or enterprise technologies are an advantage.
