Position Overview
The College of Engineering and Technology invites applications for full-time Associate Professor or Full Professor positions in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
The faculty member will contribute to the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science graduate program.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in AI and data science, including machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and emerging AI technologies.
- Develop specialized courses aligned with program objectives and industry needs.
- Supervise graduate research and master’s theses, guide research methods, and serve on thesis examination and defense committees.
- Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and pursue external research funding.
- Contribute to research initiatives in emerging AI and data science areas.
- Support curriculum development, continuous improvement, academic advising, thesis committees, accreditation, and other academic and administrative responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least five years of post-Ph.D. graduate-level teaching experience and commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
- Strong research and publication record and ability to supervise graduate research and master’s theses.
- Proficiency in modern AI and machine learning frameworks, tools, and technologies, and practical experience developing AI-driven solutions.
- Ability to contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and effectiveness in a multicultural academic environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Professional or industry experience in applied AI, industry or government collaboration, and real-world AI deployment is preferred.
