The College of Engineering and Technology seeks full-time faculty at Associate Professor or Full Professor rank in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
The faculty member will contribute to the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science graduate program.
Teaching and academic responsibilities
- Teach graduate AI and data-science courses, including machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and emerging AI technologies.
- Develop and deliver specialized courses aligned with program objectives and industry needs.
- Advise students, contribute to curriculum development and improvement, and participate in academic service and accreditation activities.
Research and service
- Supervise graduate research and master's theses, guide research methods, and participate in thesis examinations and defenses.
- Maintain an active research agenda and publish in reputable peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
- Pursue external research funding and contribute to emerging AI and data-science research initiatives.
- Participate in graduate thesis committees and other College and University academic and administrative responsibilities.
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least five years of graduate-level teaching experience after the Ph.D., with commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
- Strong peer-reviewed research and publication record and ability to supervise graduate research and master's theses.
- Proficient with modern AI and machine-learning frameworks, tools, and technologies, with practical AI-solution development experience.
- Able to contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a multicultural academic environment.
- Fluent English required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Applied AI project, industry or government collaboration, and real-world deployment experience is preferred.
