Role overview

Join Global Payments' Enterprise EMEA team as a CDD Operations Analyst supporting customer due diligence and financial crime risk management.

New business due diligence

  • Conduct CDD and EDD reviews for new enterprise customers, including complex ownership structures, UBOs, and source of wealth or funds.
  • Collect and analyze information from public registries, company filings, financial databases, and internal and external sources.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.

Screening and ongoing monitoring

  • Assess PEPs, potential sanctions matches, and adverse media using a risk-based approach, and document risks.
  • Identify financial crime concerns, inconsistencies, and emerging risks; escalate issues and manage them through resolution.
  • Conduct periodic and trigger-event reviews, reassessing customer information against regulatory and internal standards.
  • Escalate deteriorating risk profiles and discrepancies, and maintain clear records to support audit and regulatory scrutiny.

Operational quality and stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate, complete, auditable reviews; recommend improvements to processes, controls, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Track case progress, remove blockers, and meet SLAs without compromising risk standards.
  • Work with Business Development, Relationship Managers, Compliance, Audit, and other internal stakeholders; provide practical due diligence guidance.
  • Share expertise and best practices with colleagues and contribute to training and knowledge-sharing.

Required qualifications

  • At least 3 years of CDD, KYC, AML, or financial crime compliance experience in financial services, payments, or another regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Able to work in the office three days per week in a hybrid model.

Bonus qualifications

  • Working toward or committed to obtaining a qualification such as the ICA Certificate in AML or ACAMS.
  • Experience in merchant acquiring, fintech compliance, or correspondent banking.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as FCA, FinCEN, MAS, HKMA, or EU AML Directives.
  • Experience with CDD/KYC.

Knowledge and culture

Stay current on industry developments, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and AML, CDD/EDD, sanctions, and financial crime best practices.

Support a customer-focused culture that balances risk management, regulatory objectives, and positive customer experiences.
