Company and business context

The SkyCargo group operates a global air cargo network serving more than 140 destinations across six continents from its Dubai hub.

The role supports Emirates and wet-lease freighter operations, charter sales, network optimization, and cargo profitability.

Job purpose

Plan, analyze, and evaluate commercial and operational aspects of freighter and charter operations.

Make short- and medium-term decisions with management to optimize the freighter network and maximize profitability.

Commercial planning

  • Prepare agreements, cargo commitment contracts, and block space cargo contracts for airlines and forwarders.
  • Decide charter commitments, scheduled freighter routings, and reroutings based on market demand and operational feedback.
  • Source sub-leased capacity for regional charter opportunities and recommend additional flights.
  • Prepare post-flight profitability reports and analyze aircraft fleet utilization.
  • Select appropriate aircraft and operators for routes and recommend operational changes to improve profitability.
  • Establish processes for scheduled, charter, and new station operations.

Freighter operation planning

  • Manage the master operating plan for scheduled freighter and charter operations across Emirates, wet-lease providers, and interline partners.
  • Analyze critical flights and identify operational constraints affecting planned cargo loads.
  • Coordinate with cargo operations, third-party providers, and ground-handling agents to implement processes and manage deviations.
  • Manage aircraft fleet utilization to meet lease guarantees, maximize owned-aircraft utilization, and reduce operating costs.

Equine transportation

  • Investigate equine markets and develop high-yield cargo and charter opportunities.
  • Construct rates for equine trade lanes and review competitor pricing, capacity, and special-handling capabilities.
  • Coordinate space protection, stall certification, equipment positioning, and required documentation.
  • Create equine customer accounts and coordinate specialized horse charter events with charter and scheduling teams.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree or Honours qualification equivalent to 12+3.
  • At least five years of logistics or air cargo experience.
  • Experience in commercial charter quotation and planning, operational charter setup, loadability assessment, fleet utilization, and charter cost analysis.
  • Experience in airline cargo operations, charter operations, commercial planning, and network planning.
  • Ability to work outside regular office hours, including weekdays or weekends when required.

Technical qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of freighter commercial fundamentals, selling rates, aircraft costs, and profitability.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with senior and technical stakeholders.
  • Broad technical knowledge of aircraft operations, cargo loading, aircraft, and crew.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, slots, aircraft engineering, and IATA regulations and procedures.
  • Completion of approved cargo acceptance and handling courses, including special cargo.

Benefits

  • The employer describes an attractive tax-free salary and industry travel benefits, but does not provide a salary amount or payment cadence.
