Business Unit Director
Role Overview
of Scope during the different Periods and Phases of the Contract.
• To direct the development of short-term and long-term plans and budgets based upon Contract. Objectives and goals and objectives.
• To liaise with Client, Authorities and its Consultants in his own Business Unit and attend regular meetings with the Client and its Consultants.
• To Ensure that HSE policy is adequately observed.
• To superintend the day-to-day site activities, coordinate forward planning, review and monitor all progress reports.
• To Ensure general procedures are followed as is required by the Authorities.

• Extensive experience as a Managing Director or in a similar role.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Water distribution and wastewater collection technical knowledge.

Role responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies and business plans to achieve short- and long-term goals and improve cost efficiency.
- Report to the Cluster General Manager, manage the team, and maintain trusted relationships with partners, shareholders, and authorities.
- Oversee business unit operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures; manage budgets and finances.
- Direct commercial actions to retain existing customers and win new customers, coordinating with other company entities.
- Direct production, coordinate external resources, and ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated and followed.
- Lead activities strategically and oversee tactical implementation by subordinate managers across contract phases.
- Develop plans and budgets based on contract objectives and goals.
- Liaise with the client, authorities, and consultants and attend regular meetings.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, coordinate forward planning, and review and monitor progress reports.
- Ensure health and safety regulations, HSE policy, and authority procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Managing Director or in a similar role.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical knowledge of water distribution and wastewater collection.
