Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Business Development Manager role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work-from-home days.
The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with sports organizations, broadcasters, and brands.
Responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans, managing leads and pipelines, preparing proposals, and negotiating commercial agreements.
The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to align offerings with client needs, tracking market trends in sports media, and providing regular performance and revenue reports.
The individual will represent Alpha Sports in client meetings, industry events, and virtual presentations to strengthen brand presence and drive growth in the region.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals in media, sports, or related industries.
- Account management and relationship-building capabilities, with experience maintaining long-term client partnerships and handling key accounts.
- Market research and strategic planning skills to assess opportunities, analyze competition, and develop go-to-market or expansion strategies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for client pitches, proposal development, and contract discussions.
- Familiarity with sports broadcasting, digital media, or marketing ecosystems, particularly in the Middle East or Indian sports markets.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across in-person and remote settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a business development or commercial role (sports, media, entertainment, or technology sectors preferred).
