Overview

The Business Application Senior Specialist plays a key role in bridging business needs and technology solutions.

This position is responsible for managing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise business applications, ensuring they align with organizational goals and processes.

The role involves stakeholder engagement, system configuration, solution design, and coordination with technical teams to ensure optimal performance and usability of business systems.

Application Management & Support

Oversee the lifecycle of core business applications (e.g., ERP, SharePoint, ServiceNow).

Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate system issues to ensure high availability and performance.

Perform regular system audits, updates, and maintenance tasks.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document application-related requirements.

Translate business needs into functional specifications and use cases.

Advise departments on best practices and optimal use of business applications.

System Implementation & Enhancement

Lead or support the implementation, integration, and upgrade of business applications.

Coordinate testing, user acceptance, training, and documentation.

Identify and recommend improvements or automation opportunities to enhance business processes.

Vendor & Project Management

Liaise with software vendors and external consultants on product roadmaps, support issues, and SLAs.

Manage small to medium-scale application projects, ensuring delivery on time within scope and budget.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and change logs

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 to less than 6 years of experience in managing or supporting enterprise business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, business analysis, and process modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics), CRM, or custom-built enterprise platforms.
  • Strong experience in building and presenting performance dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or PMP frameworks is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
