Supervises bar and dining service activities, supporting guest needs, staff coordination, inventory, cash handling, and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect staff grooming and attire; coordinate communication among guests, employees, and departments.
- Monitor dining areas for seating, service, safety, and guest well-being.
- Complete maintenance work orders and scheduled inventories; check stock and requisition supplies.
- Manage and secure the assigned cash bank, verify funds, and obtain change for expected business levels.
- Announce last call at the designated closing time.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Support teamwork and maintain positive working relationships.
- Follow safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance and communications, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality expectations.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Work setting and physical demands
- The position is not remote and involves working in a bar and dining-service environment.
- Requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; moving through confined or elevated spaces; and using stairs or service ramps.
- Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
