AV event operations
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment and systems.
- Oversee AV equipment setup in banquet and meeting rooms.
- Keep equipment operational and repair or clean it when necessary; label broken items and inform a manager or supervisor.
- Tape down and dress loose wires and cables.
- Check delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order and communicate flowsheet additions or deletions.
- Assist and instruct guests on AV use, promote different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when it is not in use.
- Read, understand, and follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP book.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is listed.
Service and workplace standards
- Follow safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
- The role involves handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
