Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Paint vehicles professionally.
• Prepare surfaces for painting.
• Perform color matching carefully.
• Maintain high finishing standards.
• Polish painted areas when required.
• Mix paint accurately when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow job cards and repair instructions.
• Use painting tools and equipment safely.
• Report paint defects or delays immediately.
• Handle customer and company vehicles with care.
• Sand, mask, prime, spray, paint, and refinish vehicle surfaces.
• Inspect panels before painting to ensure proper repair and preparation.
• Check painted areas for color accuracy, texture, gloss, finish, and defects.
• Support accident repair, repainting, touch-up, refinishing, and body shop activities.
• Ensure all assigned painting jobs are completed according to approved procedures and required timelines.
• Coordinate with denters, polishers, technicians, team leaders, quality control, and body shop management when required.
• Identify paint defects, surface imperfections, material issues, repair concerns, safety risks, and additional work requirements.
• Ensure proper use of spray guns, paint booths, sanding tools, polishing machines, mixing tools, PPE, and company resources.
• Maintain a professional attitude, technical accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent conduct while representing the Body Shop Department.
• Read and follow job cards, damage reports, repair estimates, paint codes, technical instructions, and body shop documentation when required.
• Ensure vehicles are painted, finished, and prepared safely in a way that protects company property, customer vehicles, passengers, and road users.
• Support vehicle preparation, accident repair cases, urgent repairs, VIP vehicles, insurance jobs, customer complaints, and special body shop activities when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information, vehicle records, damage reports, repair estimates, insurance details, paint formulas, and company matters at all times.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, workshop rules, paint booth requirements, body shop standards, quality requirements, and service center procedures.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve paint quality, color accuracy, finishing standards, material usage, repair efficiency, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong automotive painting knowledge.
• Good color matching and finishing skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English is preferred.
• Arabic language skills or additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and complete assigned jobs within required timelines.
• Ability to read job cards, paint codes, damage reports, repair estimates, and inspection sheets.
• Ability to identify paint defects, color mismatch, surface issues, polishing needs, and finishing concerns.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation, masking, sanding, priming, spraying, refinishing, polishing, and paint booth safety.
• Ability to coordinate professionally with denters, polishers, technicians, team leaders, quality control, parts teams, and management.
• Good knowledge of accident repair procedures, body shop workflow, paint materials, mixing methods, quality checks, and vehicle handling standards.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Painter, Spray Painter, Vehicle Painter, Paint Technician, Body Shop Painter, or related automotive painting role is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive painting, paint preparation, refinishing, color matching, polishing, and body shop operations, preferably within dealership, premium automotive, luxury automotive, or authorized service center environments.

Work Conditions

• Full-time position based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
• Service center-based role with daily painting, refinishing, and body shop duties.
• Rotational shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts as required by business operations.
• Continuous standing, walking, sanding, masking, painting, polishing, surface preparation, inspection, reporting, and operational coordination throughout working hours.
• Regular use of spray guns, paint booths, sanding tools, polishing machines, paint mixing tools, PPE, job cards, damage reports, repair estimates, and workshop equipment.
• Direct interaction with denters, polishers, technicians, team leaders, quality controllers, spare parts teams, drivers, suppliers, workshop management, and external parties.
• May require extended working hours during urgent repairs, accident cases, VIP vehicles, high repair volume, insurance jobs, customer escalations, repeat repairs, or operational requirements.
