Role Purpose

As a Body Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full body shop operation, including accident repair, body repair, denting, painting, estimation, quality control, productivity, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

You will play a key leadership role in ensuring repair accuracy, premium finishing standards, efficient workflow, safe workshop practices, and timely vehicle delivery within a dynamic automotive service center environment in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily body shop operations.
  • Assign work to technicians properly.
  • Lead the body shop team effectively.
  • Review repair estimates and approvals.
  • Track job status, delays, and completion.
  • Maintain body shop discipline and safety.
  • Ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and on time.
  • Supervise denting, painting, polishing, and accident repair activities.
  • Monitor technician productivity, repair efficiency, material usage, and work quality.
  • Ensure all body repairs, paint jobs, refinishing, and polishing work meet company standards.
  • Coordinate with service advisors, estimators, insurers, parts, and workshop management.
  • Support accurate estimation of accident repairs, parts requirements, labor hours, and repair timelines.
  • Review job cards, damage assessments, insurance approvals, repair plans, and technical instructions.
  • Identify quality issues, paint defects, repair gaps, workmanship concerns, operational delays, and safety risks.
  • Follow up on pending jobs, urgent vehicles, VIP vehicles, repeat repairs, insurance delays, and customer complaints.
  • Ensure proper handling of customer vehicles, company vehicles, tools, paint materials, and workshop equipment.
  • Ensure all technicians follow company policies, safety procedures, workshop rules, repair standards, and conduct requirements.
  • Coordinate with the parts team to ensure required parts, consumables, paint materials, and repair supplies are available on time.
  • Ensure the body shop remains organized, safe, clean, productive, and aligned with ROX UAE’s service center and premium brand standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information, vehicle records, insurance details, repair reports, internal matters, and company operations at all times.
  • Support final inspection, repair verification, color matching, finishing checks, roadworthiness checks, and vehicle handover readiness when required.
  • Maintain a professional leadership presence, strong decision-making approach, technical accuracy, and excellent conduct while representing the Service Department.
  • Support service center operations during urgent deliveries, high repair volume, VIP requests, insurance cases, technical escalations, campaigns, and special service activities.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve body shop productivity, repair quality, paint finish, technician performance, process efficiency, documentation, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong automotive body repair knowledge.
  • Valid UAE driving license is strongly preferred.
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English is required.
  • Arabic language skills or additional languages are preferred.
  • Ability to lead, guide, motivate, and manage body shop technicians effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of denting, painting, polishing, and accident repair processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple repair priorities.
  • Ability to read job cards, repair estimates, insurance approvals, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to identify repair gaps, paint defects, body alignment issues, finishing concerns, and operational delays.
  • Good knowledge of body shop tools, paint materials, repair equipment, workshop safety, material control, and quality standards.
  • Ability to coordinate professionally with service advisors, estimators, technicians, insurers, parts team, quality control, customers, and management.
  • Good knowledge of body shop operations, technician productivity, accident repair workflow, insurance repair process, estimation, quality checks, and vehicle delivery standards.
  • Previous experience as a Body Shop Manager, Body Shop Supervisor, Body Repair Supervisor, Paint Shop Supervisor, Accident Repair Manager, Workshop Supervisor, or similar automotive body repair leadership role is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of automotive body shop experience, including hands-on repair, painting, accident repair, estimation, workshop supervision, or body shop management experience, preferably within dealership, premium automotive, luxury automotive, or authorized service center environments.

Work Conditions

  • Full-time position based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
  • Rotational shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts as required by business operations.
  • Service center-based leadership role with daily body shop supervision and operational coordination duties.

  • Regular use of job cards, repair estimates, inspection checklists, insurance approvals, paint records, service records, technical documents, workshop tools, and internal reporting systems.
  • Continuous standing, walking, vehicle checking, workshop monitoring, job allocation, repair follow-up, quality inspection, reporting, and operational coordination throughout working hours.
  • Direct interaction with technicians, painters, denters, polishers, estimators, service advisors, insurers, parts team, quality controllers, customers, suppliers, workshop management, and external parties.
  • May require extended working hours during urgent deliveries, customer escalations, VIP vehicles, high repair volume, insurance cases, accident repairs, campaigns, repeat repairs, or operational requirements.
