The position

Design and project delivery

• Lead landscape projects from concept and masterplanning through detailed design, documentation and site delivery.
• Set design vision and strategy and maintain consistency across projects.
• Review landscape drawings, specifications, planting plans and design documentation.
• Oversee QA/QC for materials, planting, hardscape details, mock-ups and contractor submissions.

Leadership and client work

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary landscape team through creative direction, mentoring and support.
• Build client, developer, operator and stakeholder relationships; present concepts, strategies and proposals.
• Coordinate integrated design with architecture, urban design, interiors, MEP and other disciplines.
• Manage team resources, project workloads and departmental budgets; lead performance reviews and support recruitment.

Business and improvement

• Support bids, proposals, marketing and business development initiatives.
• Improve design processes, introduce ideas and strengthen the department's market position.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of landscape architecture or landscape design experience.
• Strong portfolio across sectors including hospitality, luxury residential, mixed-use, masterplanning, public realm or commercial projects.
• Experience leading landscape design teams and managing design budgets, resources and project delivery.
• Strong client presentation and stakeholder skills; ability to communicate design concepts and influence others.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design, planting, hardscape, materials, detailing and landscape QA/QC.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, engineering, urban design and other disciplines.

Advantageous qualifications

• Knowledge of the Middle East landscape environment, climate and planting considerations is advantageous.
• Professional accreditation or membership of an internationally recognized landscape architecture or design body is advantageous.
