Sales and Reservations
- Use sales techniques, including up-selling, to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
- Process room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when taking guest reservations.
- Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points.
- Determine and provide complimentary gifts to guests for their patronage.
Guest Service
- Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Contact the appropriate department to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
- Promote brand image internally and externally.
- Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their needs, address service requests, and thank them.
Team Support
- Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing, including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
- Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
- Monitor others' performance to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is required.
Professional Standards
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Read and visually verify information in various formats and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
