Position details

Sales, guest service, and reservations

• Use sales techniques, including upselling, to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Contact relevant individuals or departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Determine and provide appropriate guest recognition gifts, such as rewards points, show tickets, or gift certificates.
• Promote awareness of the brand internally and externally.
• Process Marriott Rewards redemption requests and enter rewards information when taking guest reservations.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
• Perform Sales & Marketing office duties, including filing, sending emails, typing, and faxing.

• Assist management with training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and express appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and listen and respond to employee concerns.
• Monitor others’ performance for adherence to quality standards.
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
• Move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance; perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Preferred qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is listed as preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is listed as preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
