Role overview
Assistant Project Manager supporting assigned project activities and assisting the Senior Project Manager and Project Director.
Responsibilities
- Participate in developing and delivering assigned project activities.
- Contribute to project policies, procedures, business cases and contracts.
- Control project information, deliverables and drawings; apply relevant procedures.
- Use approved project and financial management systems to process documentation.
- Assist with cost reporting, programme monitoring, service-provider performance, risk updates and quality assurance.
- Recommend solutions to issues affecting outcomes.
- Support regional bids, bid plans and liaison with the overseas risk team.
Qualifications and experience
- Recognised technical degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, project management, engineering, architecture, cost management, or relatable trade experience.
- 2–8 years of project management experience, ideally client-side or consulting.
- Advanced Microsoft skills are essential; Primavera skills are highly regarded.
- Strong written and spoken English, report and bid writing, leadership, and ability to manage complex projects as key client interface.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Baseline clearance preferred but not essential.
