Role overview
The Senior Planner supports project teams and helps meet client objectives in the Project Management division.
The role focuses on projects in the mining and energy sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning functions and ensure programme issues are highlighted and understood.
- Advise project team members and stakeholders on planning; produce programme assurance reports for client commissions.
- Produce progress reports showing variance against baselines, periodic programme updates, and inputs to project reports.
- Coordinate client, partner, consultant, and contractor work programmes and report non-compliance for resolution.
- Support bidding activities and help submit bid documentation on time.
Qualifications and experience
- A minimum of 15 years of postgraduate experience is required.
- Regional experience with a professional consultancy is necessary.
- Advanced proficiency with multiple discipline-specific software applications, such as Primavera P6 and/or other planning and resourcing software, is required.
- Professional working knowledge of project management and planning software and tools is required.
- Industry experience in energy and mining is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- A relevant BSc degree is preferred.
