Manage the Project Controls Function across project work packages and major contracts.
Lead cost management, planning and scheduling, change, reporting, risk, and information management.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a regional expert and provide technical leadership for pursuits and bids.
- Deliver the regional team budget and business performance.
- Lead and develop people, grow the team, and foster an inclusive culture.
- Assure service excellence and compliance with business management systems and relevant requirements.
- Lead health, safety, and wellbeing activities for the cost centre.
- Lead contract execution and compliance.
- Maintain regional market presence, secure bids, and plan resourcing and capability.
Qualifications and experience
- 15–20 years of professional project controls management experience in major construction project development or delivery.
- Mining experience is essential.
- Demonstrable delivery success as a Project Controls Director, including coordination and management of project controls teams.
- Experience leading large teams and working across multiple sectors at project and programme levels.
- Broad capability in estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement, and reporting.
- Able to establish project controls systems, processes, procedures, and information management approaches and tools.
- Highly conversant with contract strategy and embedding project controls across the supply chain.
- Degree qualification is ideal; a quantity surveying or project management background is likely.
- Experience in client and contractor environments is an advantage.
Location and travel
- The post holder will be based in a UAE office or at a client-site office.
- Very occasional travel across the region or to sites is required.
Reporting and additional details
Reports to the Head of Project Management or Programme Director.
SOX control responsibilities may form part of the role where applicable.
