Assistant Production Manager Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Production Manager by performing administrative duties and ensuring that the production jobs run smoothly. Our internship program provides interns with the opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience in the day-to-day operation of one of the fastest growing bathroom remodeling companies in Southern California. During your internship, you’ll also have the chance to develop essential office skills like using Slack and Asana to stay connected and organized.

What are the job duties of an Assistant Production Manager?

  • Daily Coordination: Coordinate and report day-to-day activities with the Production Manager.
  • Administrative Support: Help manage production schedules, timesheets, and other key documents.
  • Team Training: Assist in training new team members, ensuring they're set up for success.
  • Quality Assurance: Help ensure that all production work meets company standards and customer expectations.
  • Production Workflow: Coordinate with team members to make sure production tasks are completed on time.
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Problem Solving: Identify any production issues and escalate urgent matters to the Production Manager.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that safety protocols are always followed to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

What is the length of time required for the program?

The program requires a minimum of 120 days, but you can stay for up to 180 days depending on your availability and eligibility.

What is the schedule like?

  • Monday through Friday
  • Start Time - 7:00am End Time - 3:30pm

What requirements and skills are needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Reliable transportation required – must be able to drive their own vehicle to and from job sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Strong ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and production plans from the Production Manager.
  • Comfortable using basic tools, technology, and mobile apps to track tasks and updates.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Are there any required physical abilities?

Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk while working on a computer

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs, and occasionally lift objects over 100 lbs

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally required to sit, climb, or maintain balance.

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
