Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy systems, including chillers, boilers, generators, elevators, and fire and life safety systems.
• Lead daily maintenance and resolve guest and departmental work orders promptly.
• Monitor preventive maintenance, energy use, and water management.
• Plan repairs, upgrades, renovations, and infrastructure improvements with the Engineering Manager.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and maintenance contracts.
• Maintain asset inventory and spare-parts stock, and oversee procurement.
• Ensure regulatory and company-standard compliance for health, safety, fire, civil defense, and environmental matters.
• Train and supervise the engineering team and deputize for the Engineering Manager when needed.

Experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• At least 3–5 years of engineering or maintenance experience; hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP, HVAC, building management systems, and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Hotel engineering operations and computerised maintenance management system experience are preferred.
• Ability to manage engineering projects, contractors, and budgets; strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
