Arada | Heavy Bus Driver

Role purpose

Key responsibilities

• Operate company heavy buses and transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure timely passenger pick-up and drop-off and follow UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential systems.
• Report defects, breakdowns, and maintenance requirements immediately; maintain bus cleanliness and condition.
• Protect passengers during boarding, travel, and drop-off, and assist them when required.
• Keep accurate trip, mileage, fuel, and inspection records; coordinate operational issues with the Transport Supervisor.
• Park safely, transport no unauthorized passengers or materials, and handle emergencies according to company procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Valid UAE Heavy Bus Driving Licence, Category 6 or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of heavy bus driving experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Employee or staff transportation experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; physical fitness and ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Clean and safe driving record.

Skills and competencies

• Safe and defensive driving; knowledge of UAE traffic regulations.
• Route planning and navigation; vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting.
• Time management, punctuality, responsibility, reliability, communication, professionalism, and safety awareness.

Working conditions

• Rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays may be required.
• Extended hours may be required depending on operational needs.
• Must comply with company HSE and transportation policies.
