Arabic Team Lead

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Spot-check Arabic items, identify quality issues, provide feedback, and escalate recurring or critical concerns.
• Communicate guideline, project, workflow, and quality updates to trainers and QAs.
• Answer questions on Arabic wording, grammar, register, dialect, RTL formatting, translation fidelity, terminology, and cultural context.
• Follow up with inactive contributors, encourage activation, and flag availability issues.
• Create and maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and lead onboarding and training calls on project expectations, workflows, rubrics, standards, and Arabic-specific requirements.
• Align trainers and QAs on consistent application of Arabic guidelines and project updates.
• Identify recurring quality gaps, suggest workflow improvements, and help build scalable Arabic QA processes.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Arabic, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near-native Arabic proficiency with strong reading and writing skills, and strong English for guidelines and feedback.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Arabic language work, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related review workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Arabic grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, RTL formatting, tone, register, Modern Standard Arabic, and regional variation.
• Able to assess rubric-based Arabic content and identify translation, tone, register, dialect, factuality, ambiguity, and terminology issues.
• Remote team leadership or support experience is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with remote tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized in maintaining quality documentation.
• AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA experience is a plus.

Quality assessment focus

• Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and adherence to project rubrics.

Selection process

• Selection includes an AI interview, a domain-specific task, and a recruiter interview.
