AI Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered features, including prompt and harness design, tool orchestration, and structured outputs.
• Integrate AI systems with CRMs, messaging channels, and support tools using REST APIs, OAuth, and webhooks.
• Build reusable prompt libraries, guardrails, and validation logic rather than one-off scripts.
• Create typed tool contracts and enforce output schemas with Pydantic or an equivalent.
• Run trajectory evaluations and regression tests to identify quality drops before production.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to implement agent behavior and document architecture for handoff.

What the employer is looking for

• 2–5 years building production software, with meaningful hands-on LLM experience.
• Strong Python skills and experience using FastAPI or Flask for backend services.
• Practical experience with Anthropic, OpenAI, or open-source LLM APIs, including prompt engineering, function calling/tool use, and context management.
• Working knowledge of REST, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, and synchronous versus asynchronous/event-driven API integration.
• Familiarity with SQL and at least one vector or embedding store.
• Experience with Git and basic CI/CD.

Pay

• Pay is up to AED 10,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work from office; the stated work location is in person in Dubai.
