Role overview

Opportunity assessment and solution design

• Assess business problems and determine where AI can create value and whether it is an appropriate solution.
• Define use cases, requirements, scope, success measures, and implementation plans.
• Define and review architecture, technical and data requirements, integrations, infrastructure, APIs, security considerations, and dependencies.

Development, evaluation, and pilots

• Develop, configure, integrate, or support implementation of machine learning, generative AI, large language models, and AI agents.
• Assess technical feasibility, data readiness and quality, infrastructure, dependencies, risks, and constraints.
• Define evaluation frameworks, tests, benchmarks, and acceptance thresholds for performance, reliability, robustness, security, safety, bias, and other risks.
• Support proof-of-concept and pilot setup, testing, measurement, issue resolution, documentation, and recommendations.

Vendors, deployment, and lifecycle

• Evaluate vendor solutions and proposals, review technical claims and architecture, support build-versus-buy decisions, and identify risks and dependencies.
• Work with technical teams on production integration, deployment, documentation, monitoring, support models, and handover.
• Establish monitoring and performance indicators and support optimization, retraining, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and deliverables, and help resolve technical barriers.

Governance and assurance

• Address AI governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, responsible AI, regulatory compliance, human oversight, traceability, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate profile

• Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on AI expertise and strong technical judgment.
• Ability to assess opportunities, define technical requirements, and evaluate solution feasibility and architecture.
• Ability to collaborate with business, technology, cybersecurity, data, vendor, and other stakeholders.
